BEIJA MARIE VELEZ
Beija Velez, 28, was born in Atlanta and raised in Decatur, Georgia. The young creative is extremely versatile, specializing in modeling, creative consulting, designing, on-camera hosting, styling, music curation, basketball, and more.
Velez most recently designed a Wilson basketball for the WNBA’s 25th anniversary and the collaboration sold out online in less than 2 hours. She was then featured in a Vogue documentary titled “Supreme Models” alongside iconic women such as the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, Iman, Zendaya and others. She discussed being a model and designer in the series that has surpassed 8+ million views overall on Youtube.
Previously, Beija was a creative consultant and social media manager for Usher at only 20 years old where she organically grew his following by 2+ million followers in 5 months. She then transitioned into becoming an on-camera personality for Complex Media, where she delivered news briefs and interviewed prominent figures in pop-culture, such as J.Balvin, A$AP Ferg, Linkin Park, and many others.
In 2023, Velez became a Critics Choice Awards nominee for her sports show on Fuse TV where she interviews women athletes that range from Olympic Gold Medalists all the way to disabled athletes. They cover topics such as mental health, pay disparity, & more and then do healing modalities with the athletes such as acupuncture, surfing, yoga, and boxing.
Included on this multifaceted talent's impressive resumé, Beija has done personal shopping & styling for Ciara and has modeled with a variety of clients including Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty Lingerie, Balmain, Nike, Adidas, Converse, Perry Ellis, Tommy Jeans, Urban Decay Cosmetics, and others.
She also designed a 2019 Friends-and-Family exclusive shoe in partnership with Adidas and revealed her own basketball character in the NBA Live video game.
Beija has also had the honor of speaking on a panel with Spike Lee on behalf of Jordan brand and has been featured on major platforms such as Slam Magazine, Coveteur, Business of Fashion, Hypebeast and Who What Wear.
